Starting over in the Picnic Season Jam

First of all, coming from a programming background and having done a lot of game design throughout my carreer, I am confortable creating games alone. However, I am not artist. I can't even do a simple sketch. With that being said, for most of the game I will be creating for this page, I will try to use assets from old games I worked on.

Secondly,  after 20 years dedicated to creating games I've found myself outside the game  industry for the first time in my professional carreer and decided to use my free time for a new personal project where I reboot my game development career/skills/portfolio/etc working on small game projects for itch.io game jams.

This is the first game I am creating and I decided to try doing something for the Picnic Season Jam which is due April 4th (8 days for now). The theme is Spring but i am not sure what to do yet. As I said, i am restricted by the art I have from old projects I've worked and that I still have access and the rights to work with it.

This post is kind of me "thinking loud" (not even sure this is an expression in english) and assessing my options. I am posting a few images  of assets I have that might be usable for the theme and go from there. Luckly I've found gif images of the assets along with the 3D files so it was easy and shows animations!

So far, I've found characters from a Christmas themed game and from a Dinosaur Game (which seems more Springy). I will keep looking and keep posting.
